Getting Around the City
🚌 How We Got to Kuala Lumpur
Our journey began in Singapore, where we took a City Line Bus to Kuala Lumpur, costing PHP 1,500 per person. We booked our tickets through KLOOK, which allowed us to select a convenient pick-up point from several locations around Singapore.
💡 TIP: Avoid booking your ticket at the last minute! We booked ours the night before, which left us feeling anxious since the confirmation ticket arrived just minutes before the pick-up time.
🏨 Where We Stayed
We booked our stay at Deface Platinum Suites, an excellent choice due to its proximity to the Petronas Twin Towers and night markets. The rooftop pool offers breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur's city lights. Our accommodation featured two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a living room—perfect for a comfortable stay.
📌 Booked via AGODA for PHP 7,000 (2 days, 1 night).
📍 Places We Visited
Since we had limited time, we focused on Kuala Lumpur’s must-visit attractions:
Petronas Twin Towers
🌟 Best visited at night when the towers are beautifully illuminated. Plus, it helps you avoid the daytime heat. No entrance fee.
Batu Caves
🏞 A famous Hindu temple site featuring a towering golden statue and a massive limestone cave. Be prepared for the steep staircase leading to the temple. Entry is free, but women should dress modestly.
Genting Highlands
🚡 A popular hill resort known for its breathtaking cable car ride and cool climate. The panoramic views from above are absolutely stunning!
Petaling Street
🛍 A bustling Chinatown market where we bought our pasalubong (souvenirs).
Jalan Alor
🌃 A vibrant food and nightlife street, perfect for sightseeing and trying local delicacies.
Since we were conveniently located in the city center, we primarily used taxis to get around.
